Ferris State Presently Ranks Ninth In NCAA Midwest Region
The Ferris State University women's soccer team is listed ninth in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Region Rankings, which were announced Wednesday (Oct. 27) by the NCAA-II Women's Soccer Committee.
The Bulldogs, who were ranked seventh in this season's initial poll (Oct. 20), are one of six representatives from a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC)-member institution to be listed in the 10-team region rankings.
The final regular-season poll will be published Wednesday, Nov. 3, and championship selections will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 8 starting at 7 p.m. (ET) via a webcast selection show on NCAA.com.
The eight regions within NCAA Division II consist of Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West.
Ferris State, under the direction of first-year head coach Matt Kellogg, has posted a 7-7-3 overall record with a 7-5-2 ledger in the GLIAC's North Division to date this season. The Bulldogs conclude the regular-season portion of their 2010 schedule this Saturday (Oct. 30) on the road against nationally-ranked Grand Valley State at Allendale, Mich. The regular-season finale match gets underway at 12 p.m. (EDT).
