Ferris State Girls Recreational and ID Summer Soccer Camp (Girls 5th-12th Grade)

June 26-June 29, 2017
Registration - June 26 - 12:00p-1:30p

The Ferris State Summer Soccer Camp invites girls ages 9-18 to spend 4 days and 3 nights on the Ferris State University campus. Campers will be coached by high level college and high school coaches from around the Midwest, stay in the dorms and eat at Ferris’ first class dining facility The Rock Café.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is provided for all resident campers. Lunch and dinner will be provided for all commuter campers.

The 2017 Ferris State Summer Soccer Camp is designed around teaching and learning. Participants will receive coaching from the FSU coaching staff, college, high school, and club soccer coaches from around the midwest with the intent to help improve the player and give them skills to take back to their teams at home. Current members of the Bulldog women's soccer program will be around for the week as well.  The camp is open to all girls in 5th to 12th grade.  College coaches from other schools at all levels of the NCAA and NAIA from around the state and region will also be invited to attend to add exposure for participants looking to play soccer in college.

Field sessions will consist of improving individual skills (1v1 defending & attacking, passing, shooting, possession, and small sided games) as well as tactical scenarios covering key moments in the game (building out of the back, midfield possession and switching, attacking in the final third) as well as games.  There will be separate goalkeeper training and goalkeepers will be also integrated into the small sided and full 11v11 games. Weather permitting, campers will have multiple sessions in a day, either a game or practice session.

FSU Soccer Camp will make every effort to honor your roommate requests. To ensure your roommate, please provide the request in the appropriate area of the application. Please spell all names correctly.

The participants will get to experience a college coaching environment in training sessions and small sided games, a seminar and question/answer session on the recruiting process (high school aged players), campus tour, trip to the bookstore along with competitive training games.  Each participant will receive a Ferris State Camp T-shirt and a Ferris State Soccer water bottle and sackpack!  

Girls 5th-12th Grade Resident - Cost: $335

Girls 5th-12th Grade Commuter - Cost: $275

Ferris State Bulldog ID Camp (Girls 8th—12th Grade)

August 6, 2017
Registration – 9:00a-10:00a
Recruiting Question and Answer – 1:30p-2:30p
Camp Closing – 6:00p

 

The 2017 Ferris State Bulldog ID Camp is a high level camp where participants will receive coaching from the FSU coaching staff and coaches from other local colleges. Current members of the Bulldog women's soccer program will be on campus to help answer questions regarding Ferris State and talk about their experience as a Bulldog soccer player! 

Campers will be issued numbers for their shirt to ensure easy identification by coaches in attendance.  Coaches will also be provided contact information to aid in the recruiting process.

The camp is open to everyone, with the understanding that the ability level of campers will be very high. The participants will get to experience a college coaching environment in training sessions and small sided games, a seminar and question/answer session on the recruiting process along with competitive training games against other college prospects.  Specialized goalkeeping sessions will also be offered.  Each participant will receive a Ferris State Camp T-shirt and a Ferris State Soccer water bottle and Ferris State Soccer sackpack!  Campers have the option to choose lunch at the first class dining facility on Ferris State campus, The Rock Cafe.

Girls 8th—12th Grade —Cost with lunch at The Rock Cafe - $95

(Parents may pre-order additional Rock entrances at checkout for $10 each.)
