The success achieved by the Ferris State University women's soccer team this season hasn't gone unnoticed as the Bulldogs are ranked seventh in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings which were released this Wednesday (Oct. 20) by the NCAA-II Women's Soccer Committee.
Ferris State is one of six Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) members to comprise the 10-team Midwest Region rankings.
The final regular-season poll will be published November 3 and championship selections will be conducted on November 8 starting at 7 p.m. (ET) via a webcast selection show on NCAA.com.
The eight regions within NCAA Division II consist of Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West.
Ferris State, which presently has registered a 7-5-3 overall record and is 7-3-2 in the GLIAC's North Division this season under first-year head coach Matt Kellogg, are midst its second five-match (3-0-2) unbeaten streak of this season. The Bulldogs continue conference action this weekend on the road facing the Findlay Oilers this Friday (Oct. 22) in Findlay, Ohio, before squaring off against the Tiffin Dragons on Sunday (Oct. 22) at Tiffin, Ohio.
