Big Rapids, Mich. - The Bulldog Sports Network and local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM have announced plans to broadcast Tuesday's (Sept. 25) Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's volleyball match between the Ferris State Bulldogs and archrival Grand Valley State in Allendale.
The match is slated for first serve at 7 p.m. (ET) inside GVSU's Fieldhouse Arena and pre-match coverage will begin approximately one-half hour prior to match time with the Meijer Pregame Show.
In addition to Sunny 97.3's live broadcast, the live audio feed will also be streamed online by the Bulldog Sports Network via the school's multimedia portal at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.
FSU Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Rob Bentley will provide the play-by-play coverage with Athletics Communications Associate Dominic Hennig offering color commentary and sideline reporting.
Besides the Bulldog Sports Network coverage, GVSU will also provide live internet statistics for each game along with a live video webcast. Fans can also follow live FSU twitter and facebook scoring updates.
Last season, Sunny 97.3 and the Bulldog Sports Network provided the first live broadcast of Bulldog Volleyball in more than a decade during FSU's trip to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament.
The Bulldogs enter Tuesday's rivalry match with a 9-3 overall record and are 3-1 in GLIAC action. Meanwhile, the Lakers are also 9-3 overall and 2-2 in league action to date this season.
Ferris State was ranked 24th in last week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II National Poll.
