A pair of seniors, Ashley Huntey (Stanwood/Morley-Stanwood) and Lisa Tobiczyk (Marysville) along with junior Samantha Fordyce (DeWitt) have been selected as the 2011 Ferris State University women's volleyball team captains in an announcement made by Bulldog head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm.
Tobiczyk and Fordyce were among four individuals to serve as captains for the 2010 season.

Tobiczyk, a 2010 second-team All-GLIAC honoree, presently ranks eighth in digs (1,256) and 28th in service aces (102) on FSU's all-time leaders list prior to this upcoming campaign. The 5-8 libero paced the Bulldogs last season with a program seventh-best tying 474 digs and averaged 4.35 digs a set in 28 outings. The two-time (2009 and 2010) team Bulldog Award recipient also served up a team-high tying 31 service aces in the 2010 season. A 2009 All-GLIAC Honorable Mention pick, Tobiczyk chalked up 25 double-digit dig match performances.
Fordyce, who earned All-GLIAC Honorable Mention plaudits in 2010, has totaled a FSU all-time seventh-best 2,337 career assists to date. The 5-11 setter tallied a team and program 16th single-season best 1,094 assists while producing a national 41st-place best 10.1 assists per set average as a 28-match starter last season.
