The two-day tourney will feature eight matches on Friday, Sept. 2, beginning at 9 a.m. (EDT).  Match start times for the rest of the day are 12 p.m. (EDT), 3 p.m. (EDT), and 6 p.m. (EDT).  The final day of the tourney takes place on Saturday, Sept. 3, with another eight matches on the docket.  Match times for Saturday are at 9 a.m. (EDT), 12 p.m. (EDT), 2:30 p.m. (EDT), and 5 p.m. (EDT).

Ferris State is scheduled to play two contests per day, starting with its 2011 season opener versus Drury on Sept. 2 at 3 p.m. (EDT) inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena.  Following that tilt, the Bulldogs entertain Wisconsin-Parkside in a 6 p.m. (EDT) matchup.  In Saturday's (Sept. 3) action, FSU takes on Southern Indiana at 12 p.m. (EDT) before wrapping up tourney play against California (Pa.) in a 5 p.m. (EDT) encounter.

California (Pa.) and Southern Indiana were both 2010 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament participants.

"This will be a great opening weekend tournament," said Ferris State head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm, who begins her 16th year at FSU this fall.  "There are a number of matches being played between regional opponents which will have implications on national tournament opportunities.  The level of play will be very high and we encourage everyone to come out for some exciting collegiate volleyball action!"

Ticket prices for the 2011 Ferris State Invitational are $15 for an all-tournament pass (includes both days), $10 for adults, and $3 for faculty, students, and K-12.  Ferris State students with valid ID and children under the age of five will be admitted free of charge.

A season ago, Ferris State compiled a 3-1 record at the 2010 Ferris State Invitational en route to finishing the campaign with an 18-10 overall mark and the program's 13th consecutive winning season.
