An exciting opportunity is available for kids to learn the fundamentals of volleyball as the Ferris State University women's volleyball program will be conducting youth training clinics on Sundays from January 16 to February 27 in 2011 at FSU's Ewigleben Sports Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.

The winter youth clinics will be held for three age divisions - Volley Pups (kindergarten--3rd grade), Mini Volley (3rd-6th grades), and Youth Volleyball (6th-8th grades).  Both of the Volley Pups and Mini Volley sessions will be held from 3-4 p.m. (EST) followed by the Youth Volleyball session from 4-5:45 p.m. (EST).  All three sessions per Sunday will take place in the Volleyball Arena on the lower level of the Ewigleben Sports Complex on the Ferris State campus.

The cost is $70 per person for the Volley Pups and Mini Volley groups and $90 for the Youth Volleyball group.  The youth training clinics will feature instruction by the FSU women's volleyball coaches along with current and former Bulldog volleyball players.

The FSU volleyball youth training clinics are designed to provide participants with age appropriate skill and motor development along with opportunities to use those skills in fun-play situations.

Registration is limited for each age division and an emergency authorization and waiver form must be completed prior to participation.  The forms are contained within the FSU Volleyball Youth Training Clinics brochure.
