The Ferris State University women's volleyball team will hold a spring scrimmage match this Friday (April 2) against the Central Michigan University Chippewas at FSU's Ewigleben Sports Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.
The two teams will square off from 3 to 5 p.m. (EDT) and then again from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (EDT).
Admission to the scrimmage is free and fans can mingle with the Bulldog volleyball student-athletes and coaching staff members upon its conclusion.
Ferris State, under head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm, registered a 19-12 overall record for the 2009 season as the Bulldogs made the program's 15th appearance in the NCAA Division II National Tournament. FSU advanced to the 2009 NCAA-II Midwest Regional Tournament Quarterfinals at the University of Indianapolis (Ind.) before dropping a season-ending 3-0 decision to nationally 11th-ranked Lewis (Ill.).
The Bulldogs' opponent, NCAA Division I Central Michigan concluded its 2009 season at 17-13 overall under head coach Erik Olson.
