Women's Tennis Hosts Northwood In Key Match
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis
team will host rival Northwood in a key Great Lakes Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference (GLIAC) encounter on Tuesday (Sept. 21) at the
FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.
The match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. (EDT) start. All fans are
encouraged to come out and support the Bulldogs in their quest for
a victory.
The Bulldogs are presently 4-0 overall and lead the league with a
perfect 4-0 conference record. FSU is guided by fourth-year
head coach Alex Palladino.
Meanwhile, NU enters Tuesday's match with both a 2-0 overall and
conference mark under longtime head coach Zane Colestock.
Last season (2009), the Bulldogs dropped a 7-2 league
regular-season decision against the Timberwolves in Midland.
Northwood has claimed the last seven GLIAC Championships in a
row.
FSU previously registered a 9-0 season-opening triumph over Saginaw
Valley State (Sept. 3) in its only previous home match this
season.
