Women's Tennis Hosts Northwood In Key Match

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team will host rival Northwood in a key Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) encounter on Tuesday (Sept. 21) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The match is scheduled for a 3 p.m. (EDT) start.  All fans are encouraged to come out and support the Bulldogs in their quest for a victory.

The Bulldogs are presently 4-0 overall and lead the league with a perfect 4-0 conference record.  FSU is guided by fourth-year head coach Alex Palladino.

Meanwhile, NU enters Tuesday's match with both a 2-0 overall and conference mark under longtime head coach Zane Colestock.

Last season (2009), the Bulldogs dropped a 7-2 league regular-season decision against the Timberwolves in Midland.

Northwood has claimed the last seven GLIAC Championships in a row.

FSU previously registered a 9-0 season-opening triumph over Saginaw Valley State (Sept. 3) in its only previous home match this season.

Admission to Tuesday's match is free.
