Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis
team got back on track with an 8-1 Great Lakes Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home win over visiting Findlay on
Friday (Oct. 2) afternoon inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center
at Big Rapids, Mich.
The Bulldogs snapped a two-match losing streak and improved to both
3-2 overall and in conference play with the victory against the
Oilers, who fell to 2-6 overall and 2-3 in league action.
Ferris won all three doubles matches with the closest score coming
by an 8-5 count at the number two position.
FSU then closed the door by winning five of the six singles
flights in straight-sets. The lone Oiler win came at the
number four spot where Kelsey Yoder topped FSU sophomore Natalie
Diorio by a score of 6-3, 7-5.
Ferris State continues its weekend homestand by hosting Wayne State
on Saturday, Oct. 3, with the league match time set for a 10 a.m.
(EDT) start at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
