Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's golf teams will open NCAA Tournament action this week and fans can follow all the action online with live scoring via the internet.

The Bulldog women's golf team will open play in the 2013 NCAA East Super Regional on Sunday (May 5) at the Joliet Country Club in Joliet, Ill.  Lewis University will be hosting the East Super Regional Tournament on the women's side with the participating teams playing a single round each day for a total of 54 holes.  Round two will take place Monday (May 6) with the final round on Tuesday (May 7).

Meanwhile, the men's golf squad will compete in the 2013 Central/Midwest Super Regional starting on Monday at The Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wis.  The Central/Midwest Super Regional will be hosted by Wisconsin-Parkside and teams will play a single round on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (May 8) for a total of 54 holes as well.

The Central/Midwest Men's Golf Super Regional will consist of 10 teams from the Midwest Region along with 10 from the Central Region.  Four individuals from each region will also compete. The top five teams and the top two individuals not affiliated with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the 2013 NCAA-II Men's Golf Championships slated for May 20-24 at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa.

Each women's golf super regional will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with nine teams and four individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. The top three teams along with the top three individuals not affiliated with a team from each super regional, will advance to the national championships. The 2013 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships will be held May 15-18, at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Both Ferris State teams are guided by sixth-year head coach Mike Mignano. The Bulldog men will be making their 11th-straight national tournament appearance while the women's squad is in the field for the 12th year in a row.
