Big Rapids, Mich. - The rescheduled Ferris State University softball doubleheader against Northwood slated for Wednesday (April 27) afternoon has been cancelled due to rain and wet field conditions.
The two teams will now face each other on Sunday (May 1) starting at 12 p.m. (ET) in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbill.
The two teams were originally slated to face each other last Wednesday (April 20) before weather forced it to be rescheduled for Tuesday (April 26). It was then postponed until Wednesday due to more wet weather.
With today's cancellation, the Bulldogs are next slated to hit the road this weekend. Ferris State takes on Hillsdale in a four-game set on Friday and Saturday (April 29-30) with two twinbills each day. Friday's action begins at 3:30 p.m. (ET) with Saturday's two games starting at 1 p.m. (ET).
The Bulldogs are currently 16-20 overall and 13-11 in GLIAC play following a league home split against rival Grand Valley State this past Saturday (April 23) in Big Rapids.
