Wet weather conditions have forced the postponement of this Tuesday's (April 6) scheduled Ferris State University softball doubleheader against Northwood in Midland, Mich.
The two teams were slated to play a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbill this afternoon at NU's Fisher Stadium.
Ferris State and Northwood have rescheduled the games on the Timberwolves' diamond for Tuesday, April 27, with game one to commence at 3 p.m. (EDT) proceeded the game two around 5 p.m. (EDT).
The Bulldogs, under 13th-year head coach Keri Becker, have also announced the makeup date for last Saturday's (April 3) postponed second game versus Northwood has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 21, at the FSU Softball Field in Big Rapids, Mich. First pitch for the lone contest is slated to be thrown at 3:30 p.m. (EDT).
FSU is presently 11-10 overall this season and 2-3 in GLIAC play. The Bulldogs have won nine of their last 14 outings to date.
Next up for the Bulldogs is a conference doubleheader this Saturday (April 10) against the Findlay Oilers at Findlay, Ohio. Games times are 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (EDT). Ferris then ventures to Hillsdale, Mich., on Sunday (April 11) for a pair of league matchups with the Hillsdale Chargers. The opener starts at noon (EDT) with the second game to follow around 2 p.m. (EDT).
Ferris State returns home next Wednesday, April 14, to host Grand Valley State in a GLIAC doubleheader at Big Rapids. Game one will get underway at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) followed by the nightcap at 5:30 p.m. (EDT).
