Mother Nature once again stepped in the way of the 2010 Ferris State University softball team this Friday (March 12) as rain forced the cancellation of the Bulldogs' non-conference contests versus St. Cloud State and Southern Indiana at the Florida Rebel Spring Games Tournament in Kissimmee, Fla.

On Thursday (March 11), heavy rains made the fields unplayable as Ferris State was scheduled to face Slippery Rock (Pa.) and Minnesota Duluth.

The Bulldogs, who are currently 9-5 this spring, are midst a seven-game winning streak.

Ferris State will conclude its Florida Rebel Spring Games Tourney action this Saturday (March 13) as the Bulldogs take on Quincy (Ill.) at 3 p.m. (EST) proceeded by a 5 p.m. (EST) contest versus Concordia-St. Paul.

FSU's season home opener is scheduled for March 31 against Saginaw Valley State in Big Rapids, Mich.  The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opener will get underway with game one at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) with the second game to follow around 5 p.m. (EDT).
