The Ferris State University Athletics Department has announced the promotional schedule for the six home dates on the 2010 Bulldog softball team's schedule.
The six home dates, which are all Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheaders, are as follows:
31: vs. Saginaw Valley State - 3:30 p.m. (EDT)
*Free frisbees for everyone in attendance
2: vs. Lake Superior State - 3:30 p.m. (EDT)
*Invitation to community members, little leagues, and high schools from Big Rapids and Reed City to watch alumni from both schools play against each other. The alums are FSU's Makenzi Peterson (Big Rapids-2008) and LSSU's Lacey Knoop (Reed City-2006).
3: vs. Northwood - 1 p.m. (EDT) "Easter
*Hosting an Easter Egg hunt between the games for kids age 10 and under.
14: vs. Grand Valley State - 3:30 p.m.
(EDT) "Digital Mammography
*FSU Athletics Department will be holding a 50/50 raffle and other contests for fundraising efforts to be donated to the Digital Mammography System at Mecosta County Medical Center.
17: vs. Tiffin - 1 p.m. (EDT)
*Student-athletes will receive food and gameday t-shirts. FSU Athletics Director Tom Kirinovic will be rewarding student-athletes for academic recognition in between the games. Student-athletes will also be able to participate in a pick-up softball game on the intramural fields.
18: vs. Ashland - Noon p.m. (EDT)
*Familes and friends of the 2010 FSU Softball team seniors are encouraged to attend this last regular-season home date. There will be special contests and recognition for alumni this day as well.
A highlight to this season's promotions is the first 25 students per each home date will receive free peanuts and pop.
All of Ferris State softball's home games are held at the FSU Varsity Softball Field on the Ferris State campus in Big Rapids, Mich.
