Live Talk Show To Follow Final CCHA Regular-Season Home Game

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Bulldog Sports Network and local flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM will celebrate the end of an era with a special one-hour talk show following Saturday night's (Feb. 16) Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) regular-season home finale against the Bowling Green State Falcons.

The live 60-minute show will follow the Bulldogs' contest against BGSU at the sold out Ewigleben Ice Arena.  The puck will drop at 5:06 p.m. (ET) and will mark the final home contest in the 42-year history of the CCHA before the Bulldogs move to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) next season.

Hosts Dominic Hennig and Dan Kowalski, who will team up to call the game live, will host the talk show from the press box at the Ewigleben Ice Arena immediately following the contest and take calls from Bulldog fans who will have an opportunity to reminisce about the league.

The Bulldogs will host Bowling Green State in their final CCHA home series this weekend. Limited tickets remain for Friday's (Feb. 15) series opener against BGSU at the Ewigleben Ice Arena and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible. The puck will drop for the opening game at 7:05 p.m. (ET) and is being billed as "International Night" sponsored by the Office of International Education.  The night's activities will include a special team picture giveaway along with a "Frozen Four" poster drawing.

Saturday night's game is already SOLD OUT and will serve as FSU's annual "Senior Night" contest and the Bulldogs will honor five seniors prior to the game, which will be televised by Fox Sports Detroit as part of "Hockey Day In Michigan" coverage.  Ferris State fans are encouraged to wear red, come early and cheer loud for the Bulldogs as part of a "Red Out" effort on Saturday.  The first 500 fans will receive free thundersticks and a special "Skate with the Dawgs" event will also take place following the regular-season home finale.  

Following this weekend's action, the Bulldogs will take a week off before playing their final CCHA regular-season series at Michigan on March 1-2 in Ann Arbor.
