Saturday's Final CCHA Home Game SOLD OUT; Limited Tickets Remain For Friday's Game

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has announced that Saturday's (Feb. 16) final Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) regular-season home contest versus Bowling Green State is officially sold out.

While Saturday's finale is sold out, limited tickets remain for Friday's (Feb. 15) series opener against BGSU at the Ewigleben Ice Arena and fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible in advance with a potential sellout expected for the opener.

The puck will drop on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. (ET) for the opening game of the weekend set and is being billed as "International Night" sponsored by the Office of International Education.  The night's activities will include a special team picture giveaway along with a "Frozen Four" poster drawing.

A limited number of the special "Buy One, Get One Free" ticket offer remains for Friday.  As part of the special, fans can purchase a regular-priced $12 adult ticket and get one free.  All promotional ticket offers are only available in advance thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office and based on availability while supplies last.

Fans can purchase advance tickets for Friday night and save over the normal gameday rates by visiting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex or by calling (231) 591-2888. Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) with extended hours on both Wednesday and Thursday nights this week until 7 p.m. (ET).

Bulldog fans can also purchase all regular-priced tickets in advance 24 hours a day, seven days a week online at StarTickets.com or by calling 1-800-585-3737. A complete pricing structure and additional information is available online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com and can be found by visiting the "tickets" tab.

Following Friday's contest, the two teams will play the series finale on Saturday.  It will serve as FSU's annual "Senior Night" game with Fox Sports Detroit set to broadcast the contest live as part of "Hockey Day In Michigan" coverage beginning at 5:05 p.m. (ET).  Ferris State fans are encouraged to wear red, come early and cheer loud for the Bulldogs as part of a "Red Out" effort on Saturday.  FSU will honor its senior class during a special "Senior Night" pregame ceremony and the first 500 fans will receive free thundersticks. A special "Skate with the Dawgs" event will also take place following the regular-season home finale.  It will mark the final regular-season home game in the 42-year history of the CCHA.

Saturday night's sellout will represent the Bulldogs' fifth capacity crowd of the 2012-13 campaign and it marks the 11th sellout for the Bulldogs since the second half of last season.

While the Feb. 15-16 series marks the final two league regular-season games against the Falcons, the two teams will remain future opponents in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) beginning next season.  A year ago, the Falcons captured a best-of-three CCHA second round playoff series by beating FSU in Big Rapids to advance to Joe Louis Arena.  However, the Bulldogs were able to come back to sweep BGSU earlier this year (Nov. 16-17) in Ohio.

Although this weekend's series' represents the final regular-season home action for the Bulldogs this campaign, fans are encouraged to stay tuned to FerrisStateBulldogs.com regarding potential playoff ticket availability as it becomes available should Ferris State earn the right to host a first or second round home series for the CCHA Tournament.
