Saturday's Home Hockey Game Officially "SOLD OUT"

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Ticket Office has announced Saturday's (Dec. 1) weekend men's ice hockey series finale between the 17th-ranked Bulldogs and the Michigan Wolverines is officially sold out.

An announced near-sellout crowd of 2,191 fans witnessed the Bulldogs open the weekend with an impressive 5-0 shutout of the Wolverines on Friday night at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.  Friday's victory came in the 100th all-time series meeting versus Michigan.

The Bulldogs will try to complete their first weekend sweep over Michigan since 1985 on Saturday night with the puck set to drop at 7:05 p.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.  It will mark both the Bulldogs' final home contest of the 2012 calendar year and also the Wolverines' last appearance in Big Rapids as a Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) member.

Saturday's home game will also feature the annual "Teddy Bear Toss".  Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to the game and throw it on to the ice after the first Bulldog goal. The Teddy Bears and/or stuffed animal(s) collected will go directly to benefit needy children in the area for the Christmas Holiday.

A special autograph session will also take place following Saturday's contest with three Bulldog players signing for fans in the main concourse after the contest.

With Friday's victory, the Bulldogs improved to 7-4-2 overall this season and 6-3-0 in the CCHA.  It was also FSU's fourth consecutive win and the Bulldogs held on to at least a share of second place in the league standings with the triumph, pending the outcome of conference leader Miami's (Ohio) late Friday road contest at Alaska.

While Saturday's game is officially sold out, tickets are currently on sale for the Bulldogs' next home game versus the Michigan State Spartans on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 5:05 p.m. (ET).
