Hockey Hosts Michigan - Tickets Going Fast & Events Include "Teddy Bear Toss"

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State Hockey's annual "Teddy Bear Toss" will be among the events included as part of this weekend's (Nov. 30-Dec. 1) Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) home series against the Michigan Wolverines at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

The 17th-ranked Bulldogs host the unranked Wolverines on both Friday and Saturday night in Big Rapids with the puck set to drop both nights at 7:05 p.m. (ET).  

This weekend's series' marks the Wolverines' final trip to Big Rapids as a CCHA member and Saturday's home contest will be the Bulldogs' last home outing of the 2012 calendar year.  

Additionally, Saturday's home game will also feature the annual "Teddy Bear Toss".  Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to the game and throw it on to the ice after the first Bulldog goal. The Teddy Bears and/or stuffed animal(s) collected will go directly to benefit needy children in the area for the Christmas Holiday.

A special autograph session will also take place following Saturday's contest with three Bulldog players signing for fans in the main concourse after the contest.

Tickets for all 2012-13 Bulldog home regular-season hockey games can be purchased in advance by contacting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888. The FSU Athletics Ticket Office's normal hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) weekdays. The ticket office will also offer extended hours until 7 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday's throughout the season and be open on hockey home game Saturday's at 12 p.m. (ET).

Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as tickets for this weekend's series are going fast and seating is limited.  In addition, purchasing tickets in advance also allows fans to save money over the normal gameday rates and help the Bulldogs "Celebrate The Legacy" in the final season of the CCHA.

Both of this weekend's games will be broadcasted live on the Bulldog Sports Network and Sunny 97.3 FM with Dominic Hennig calling the play-by-play action and Dan Kowalski offering color commentary.  An online stream is available at along with a live audio/video pay-per-view webcast.  The pregame show gets underway at 6:30 p.m. (ET).
