Bulldog Hockey "Send Off" Rally Today!

Bulldog Hockey "Send Off" Rally Today!

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Athletics Department is inviting fans to come help "send off" the nationally top-ranked Bulldog men's ice hockey squad today as they travel to Kalamazoo to face Western Michigan.

The team bus will depart from the northwest side of the Ewigleben Sports Complex lot near the Bulldog Hockey Locker Room area.  The send off rally will run from 2:45 to approximately 3:15 p.m. (ET) when FSU departs for WMU's Lawson Ice Arena.  All Bulldog fans and alumni are encouraged to attend and show their support.

The top-ranked Bulldogs have clinched at least a share of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Regular-Season Championship and need to gain only a single point on second place Michigan this weekend to win the league's outright crown for only the second time in school history.

Friday night's faceoff between the league-leading Bulldogs and third-place Broncos is set to start at 7:05 p.m. (ET). Friday's contest in Kalamazoo will be televised regionally on Fox Sports Detroit and the broadcast will be carried live nationally on Fox College Sports Atlantic.
Following Friday's game, the two teams will head to Big Rapids for Saturday's (Feb. 25) regular-season finale at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.  The home finale is sold out and FSU will honor its eight seniors prior to the "Senior Night" contest.

Bulldog fans traveling to Kalamazoo are encouraged to wear red on Friday night.  Saturday's home contest will be a whiteout with all FSU students and fans asked to wear white.

While Saturday's home game is officially sold out, fans can still catch the action.  Ferris Television will produce the game with a live audio and video webcast carried by the Bulldog Sports Network on a pay-per-view basis at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com

Both games are also available this weekend with a live radio broadcast on Sunny 97.3 FM as Dominic Hennig and Dan Kowalski call the action.  The pregame show starts at 6:30 p.m. (ET) and the radio broadcast is also accessible online via the Bulldog Sports Network.
