Big Rapids, Mich. - The nationally top-ranked Ferris State University men's ice hockey squad earned the College Hockey News "Team Of The Week" honor for the second time this campaign earlier this week.
The Bulldogs claimed the recognition following last weekend's (Feb. 10-11) sweep over nationally-ranked Notre Dame in a Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) home-and-home series.
FSU pushed its unbeaten streak to 13 consecutive games (10-0-3) and clinched a first-round bye along with home ice for the CCHA Tournament with a 5-1 series-opening win last night (Feb. 17) over Bowling Green State at the Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs climbed atop the leaderboard in all three major college hockey polls after sweeping previously ninth-ranked Notre Dame.
Ferris State presently leads the CCHA with 50 points in the standings this season and last weekend FSU became the first team in the nation to record 20 wins on the year. FSU currently sports a 21-8-4 overall mark to date.
The Bulldogs lead second place Western Michigan in the CCHA by five points with three regular-season games remaining and is seeking its second-ever league regular-season championship and NCAA Tournament bid. FSU's unbeaten streak is the nation's longest and the Bulldogs have yet to lose in the New Year.
FSU previously claimed the "Team of the Week" distinction on Oct. 26.
