Big Rapids, Mich. - The nationally top-ranked Ferris State University men's ice hockey program will be highlighted Saturday (Feb. 18) on one of Canada's most popular hockey radio shows.
Bulldog play-by-play broadcaster Dominic Hennig will be interviewed and discuss FSU's success this season during "The Pipeline Show", which airs on The Team 1260 AM out of Edmonton. The segment will air on Saturday at approximately 12:25 p.m. (ET).
Hosted by Dean Millard and Guy Flaming, "The Pipeline Show" each week provides an in-depth examination of the top hockey prospects and the sport. It is currently in its seventh season and can also be heard live online.
The Bulldogs climbed atop the leaderboard in all three major college hockey polls after sweeping previously ninth-ranked Notre Dame last weekend (Feb. 10-11) at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.
Ferris State presently leads the CCHA with 47 points in the standings this season and FSU is the first team in the nation to record 20 wins on the year with a 20-8-4 overall mark to date. Ferris State leads second place Western Michigan in the CCHA by five points with four regular-season games remaining and is seeking its second-ever league regular-season championship and NCAA Tournament bid.
FSU also currently holds the nation's longest current unbeaten streak at 12 games with a 9-0-3 mark to date since the New Year began.
The Bulldogs are back in action at home again this weekend (Feb. 17-18) as they host the Bowling Green Falcons in CCHA action at the Ewigleben Ice Arena. The two-game series has a 7:05 p.m. (EDT) start time slated for both contests on Friday and Saturday.
