FSU Extends Ticket Office Hours For Final Regular-Season Home Hockey Games

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's ice hockey team is the nation's consensus number one team this week and due to demand the FSU Athletics Ticket Office has announced extended hours.

The top-ranked Bulldogs will host Bowling Green State in Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) action on both Friday and Saturday (Feb. 17-18) nights with faceoff set for 7:05 p.m. (ET) at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

In an effort to accommodate those wishing to purchase tickets, the ticket office will remain open this week an extra two hours on both Wednesday and Thursday evenings.  The FSU Athletics Ticket Office's normal hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) weekdays and they will remain open until 7 p.m. (ET) on both Wednesday and Thursday.  They will also open at 12 p.m. and remain open until gametime on Saturday or while supplies last.

Tickets for all 2011-12 Bulldog home regular-season games can be purchased in advance by visiting the ticket office inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex or by calling (231) 591-2888.  In addition, Single-game tickets for hockey may also be purchased by contacting Star Tickets at 1-800-585-3737 or online at the Star Tickets website: www.startickets.com. Tickets are also available at all Meijer store locations in West Michigan and at the Student Services Office in the FSU Rankin Student Center.

Single-game ticket prices are $12 for adults or $10 for senior citizens (age 65+) and FSU faculty/staff.  Students in grades K-12 are only $6.  FSU students can purchase tickets with a valid student ID card for $6 in the "Dawg Pound" or $8 for reserved seating. All ticket prices are subject to availability and subject to change.

FSU will also help celebrate USA Hockey's "Hockey Weekend Across America" as the Bulldogs are offering a special BOGO (Buy One, Get One Free) offer for all full-priced ($12) adult tickets sold in advance for this weekend only.  The offer is only available until Wednesday (Feb. 15) at 7 p.m. and available while supplies last thru the FSU Ticket Office only.  All tickets will be regular price beginning on Thursday morning.

The Bulldogs will honor a local Big Rapids Hockey Hero as part of the "Hockey Weekend Across America" celebration and an autograph night will take place following Saturday's home contest.  Saturday's contest will also be played on this year's seventh annual "Warrior Hockey Day In Michigan", which is ran in conjunction with "Hockey Weekend Across America".

FSU, which has sold out its last three home games to date this season, currently holds the nation's longest current unbeaten streak at 12 games with a 9-0-3 mark to date since the New Year began and is ranked first in all three NCAA Division I major college hockey polls.

The Bulldogs presently lead the CCHA with 47 points in the standings this season and FSU is the first team in the nation to record 20 wins on the year with a 20-8-4 overall mark to date.  Ferris State leads second place Western Michigan in the CCHA by five points with four regular-season contests remaining.

Three of FSU's final four contests are at home this campaign as FSU also hosts second-place Western Michigan in the regular-season finale next Saturday (Feb. 25) to cap a league home-and-home series with the Broncos at 7:05 p.m. (ET).  FSU will honor eight seniors prior to their final regular-season home contest next week and tickets for the game against the Broncos are also currently on sale.
