#18-Ranked Ferris State Hockey To Appear Five Times On TV in January
Five television appearances are just one of the highlights for the nationally-ranked 2010-11 Ferris State University men's ice hockey team in the first month of the New Year.
The most recent addition to the January television schedule is the Bulldogs' weekend series finale tilt at Bowling Green State on Jan. 8 which will be shown on Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN).
FSU Hockey fans certainly won't have to wait long to watch as the Bulldogs will ring in the 2011 New Year this Saturday, Jan. 1, versus the nationally-ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers in a Mariucci Classic contest to be televised live on Fox Sports Detroit, courtesy of Fox Sports North. The matchup will also be available on Fox College Sports Central as the opening faceoff for the non-league matchup is at 7:07 p.m. (CST) from UM's Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis, Minn. Ferris State resumes Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) play the following weekend (Jan. 7-8) taking on the Bowling Green State Falcons with the series finale on Jan. 8 slated to be televised by Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) via the Buckeye CableSystem. Game time is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. (EST) from the BGSU Ice Arena in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Two weeks later (Jan. 14-15), both games of Ferris State's home-and-home CCHA series versus nationally-ranked Michigan will be shown live on television. CBS College Sports Network will air the Friday, Jan. 14, series opener between the two teams live from UM's Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich., starting at 7:35 p.m. (EST). The finale on Saturday, Jan. 15, will be carried by Comcast Television (channel 900) and originate from FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m. (EST), but fans are encouraged to attend in what represents the Wolverines' final appearance to Ferris State for the 2010-11 regular-season campaign.

Fox Sports Detroit will televise the Bulldogs for a third time this season on Thursday, Jan. 27, as the Bulldogs host the Michigan State Spartans in Big Rapids. Ferris' lone CCHA tilt of the week is slated to commence at 7:35 p.m. (EST).

Ferris State presently is 9-7-3 overall this season with a fourth-place tying 6-6-3-2 mark (23 points) in the CCHA standings.
