Get Your Tickets For This Weekend's CCHA Tourney Series At Western Michigan

The Ferris State University Athletics Department has announced tickets are still available for this weekend's (March 11-13) Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Tournament Quarterfinal-Round series against Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich. 

Cost is $16 per person for each game and the reserved tickets may be purchased through the FSU Athletics Ticket Office by calling (231) 591-2888.  Cash or check only will be accepted.  Tickets will be available for Bulldog Hockey fans to purchase until this Wednesday (March 9) at 5 p.m. (EST).  A block of seats in sections 20 and 22 at WMU's Lawson Ice Arena have been set aside for Ferris State's fans.  

Fans also have the option of purchasing tickets through the WMU Ticket Office by calling 1-888-4-WMU-TIX.  Tickets are also  available for online ordering at www.wmubroncos.com.

The best-of-three CCHA Tourney Quarterfinal series between Ferris State and nationally-ranked Western Michigan gets underway this Friday (March 11) at 7:05 p.m. (EST).  Game two will be held this Saturday (March 12) also at 7:05 p.m. (EST) while the third game, if necessary, is scheduled for this Sunday (March 13) at 7:05 p.m. (EST).  If the deciding third game is necessary, tickets will go sale at 10:30 p.m. (EST) following the conclusion of game two.

The winner of the quarterfinal-round series will advance to the 2011 CCHA Championships, which are set for March 18-19 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich.  The CCHA Semifinals will take place Friday, March 18, with the highest-remaining seed playing the lowest remaining seed and the second-highest remaining seed facing the third-highest remaining seed.  Starting times are 4:35 p.m. (EST) for the game one semifinal and 8:05 p.m. (EST) for the second semifinal contest.  The CCHA Third-Place Game and the CCHA Championship contest are slated for Saturday, March 19.  The opening faceoff for the Third-Place Game is at 3:35 p.m. (EST) proceeded by the CCHA Championship tilt at 7:35 p.m. (EST).  FS Detroit Plus will air both semifinal-round matchups along with the championship contest. 

Ferris State is presently 17-14-5 overall this season and finished fifth in the final CCHA regular-season standings with a 12-12-4-3 league record (43 points) under 19th-year head coach Bob Daniels.  The Bulldogs are listed this week (March 7) among other teams receiving votes in the U.S. College Hockey Online.com (USCHO) poll.
