Momentum is riding high for the Ferris State University men's ice hockey team as the Bulldogs take their current three-game winning streak into this weekend's (Feb. 11-12) home non-league series against the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers at the Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich. Opening faceoff is 7:05 p.m. (EST) for both games.

The February Bulldog Hockey Fan Appreciation Special is available for FSU's four remaining regular-season home contests in which fans can purchased tickets for a discounted $36 adult ticket price and $24 for senior citizens ages 65 & older and K-12 grade. The savings adds up to $12 for adult tickets and $16 for senior citizens and K-12.
The two-game set is also Meijer Family Night in which fans receive four game tickets, four sodas and two bags of popcorn all for only $32. Meijer Bulldog Hockey Night coupons are presently available at the Big Rapids Meijer and coupon can be redeemed at the FSU Athletics Ticket Office 24 hours prior to each game's start time.
This weekend's home series will be broadcast live on the Bulldog Sports Network at 1460 AM and 107.7 FM as Dominic Hennig calls the action with Dan Kowalski providing game analysis. A live video webcast is also available for Bulldog fans through America One and a live audio webcast via UStream. Fans can also follow twitter or facebook scoring updates.
Ferris State has won its last three games to date and the Bulldogs are 14-12-4 overall with a fifth-place 11-10-3-2 Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) record. Ferris State swept Alaska this past weekend (Feb. 5-6) in a two-game road set with 2-1 and 3-2 victories over the Nanooks in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Bulldogs, who are 7-4-3 at home this season, are led by senior goaltender Pat Nagle and senior defenseman Zach Redmond. The two Hobey Baker Memorial Award candidates rank among the national leaders as Nagle is fifth in goals-against average (1.93) and 13th in save percentage (.925) while Redmond is listed tied for 19th in game-winning goals (three).
Alabama-Huntsville enters this weekend's series with a 4-24-2 overall record after splitting a two-game non-league series against nationally-ranked Nebraska-Omaha two weeks ago (Jan. 28-29) at the Qwest Center Omaha in Omaha, Neb. The Chargers suffered a 4-0 loss in the series opener (Jan. 28) before notching a 2-1 overtime decision in the finale (Jan. 29). UAH, which is the nation's lone NCAA Division I independent and sports a 1-13-2 road mark to date, is led in scoring by senior defenseman Matt Baxter (9-11=20) and sophomore forward Keenan Demset (8-10=18). Freshman Clarke Saunders (4-13-0, 3.72 GAA, .898sv%) is UAH's primary goaltender. The Chargers ranked 11th nationally in penalty minutes (16.8 avg.), 54th in scoring defense (3.97 gpg.) and are tied for 56th place in scoring offense (1.93 gpg).
