Bob Daniels, the all-time winningest coach in Ferris State University men's ice hockey history, will be a featured guest on this Wednesday's (Dec. 9) Hockey On Campus online radio show.
The radio show, which will air from 7 to 10 p.m. (EST), is the nation's most comprehensive college hockey podcast program. Hockey On Campus is co-hosted by Bernie Corbett and Paul McNamara.
Daniels, who's presently in his 18th season at Ferris State, will be appearing on the show at approximately 7:15 p.m. (EST).
The show can be accessed through the website at www.hockeyoncampus.com, and is archived on the site (following the live cybercast) so college hockey fans can listen at their convenience any time throughout the weekend.
Joining Bob Daniels on this week's show will be longtime Maine hockey radio announcer Dan Hannigan, first-year Brown head coach Brendan Whittet, Canisius junior forward and the nation's leading scorer Cory Conacher, Adam Wodon of College Hockey News.com, and the "Hobey Watch's" Eliot Olshansky. An analysis of this week's (Dec. 7) national polls in Division I and III for both men and women's ice hockey will be conducted. A review of last week's results and a preview of this upcoming weekend's matchups will also be highlighted.
Daniels was honored in 2002-03 as the recipient of the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Division I Coach of the Year after guiding Ferris State to a school-best 31-10-1 overall mark. The Bulldogs also claimed their first-ever Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) regular-season title and made the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance. Daniels was also recognized not only as the CCHA's Coach of the Year but also as Inside College Hockey.com's and the March of Dimes West Michigan Sports Awards' Coach of the Year Award winner.
Ferris State, under Daniels, has presently posted an 11-3-2 overall record this season while registering a third-place 6-2-2-2 mark (22 league points) in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
FSU, which is midst a current eight-game (6-0-2) unbeaten streak, will tangle with the Western Michigan Broncos this weekend (Dec. 11-12) in a home-and-home CCHA series. The Bulldogs host WMU this Saturday (Dec. 12) in the weekend series finale at 5:05 p.m. (EST).
