FS Detroit Plus To Televise Saturday's Ferris State Hockey Game

The nationally-ranked 2009-10 Ferris State University men's ice hockey team will be featured this Saturday (Feb. 6) as FOX Sports Detroit Plus televises the Bulldogs' Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) weekend series finale against the Northern Michigan Wildcats.

The puck will drop for the contest at 7:35 p.m. (EST) as a result of the live telecast from FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.

Along with being televised on FS Detroit Plus, the matchup between the two in-state schools will be streamed live on the FOX Sports Detroit website at http://foxsportsdetroit.com.

Dan Dickerson will be calling the action for this Saturday's tilt with Fred Pletsch providing color analysis.

The FS Detroit Plus contest at Ferris State this Saturday evening will be available to viewers on DirecTV (channel 664), Dish Network (channel 448), Charter Cable (channel 88), Comcast Cable (channel 901 in most areas and channel 899 in some areas north and east of metropolitan Detroit), WOW! (channel 195), and other cable outlets across the nation.  

FS Detroit is presently celebrating its 13th season of televising CCHA hockey. Telecasts of CCHA games are part of the more than 350 live local events presented each year by FSN Detroit that reach more than 3.2 million cable and satellite households throughout Michigan and portions of Northwest Ohio and Northern Indiana.

Ferris State presently has compiled a 17-8-3 overall record this season, which includes a third-place 11-6-3-3 CCHA mark.  The Bulldogs, under 18th-year head coach Bob Daniels, have totaled 39 league points to date and are two points shy of tying for second place in the league standings.

Nationally, Ferris State is ranked 11th this week (Feb. 1) by both U.S. College Hockey Online.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine.  The Bulldogs are listed 12th in the Inside College Hockey.com poll.

FSU will be in action against Northern Michigan this Friday (Feb. 5) for a 7:05 p.m. (EST) series-opening matchup prior to Saturday's televised contest.
