Men's Golf To Compete In GLIAC Championships

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team will compete in the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Sunday thru Tuesday (Oct. 14-16).

The event will be held at the Elyria Country Club in Elyria, Ohio, beginning on Sunday morning with tee times starting at 11:30 a.m. (ET).

The 2012 GLIAC Championships will consist of 54 holes as the teams will play one round each day.  The low four of five scores will count towards the respective team score for each squad.

The second round action will begin on Monday at 11 a.m. (ET) with Tuesday's final round of action slated for a 9 a.m. (ET) start.  All rounds are weather and frost permitting.

Ferris State captured the GLIAC Men's Golf Championship in 2010 before placing 11th a year ago.  The 2010 conference crown represented the 19th in the program's history and the Bulldogs' first since the 2004-05 season.
