Following a second-place performance at the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Region Invitational #1 this past weekend (Sept. 20-21), senior Eric Lilleboe (Okemos/Lansing Catholic Central) of the nationally-ranked Ferris State University men's golf team has once again been recognized as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (GLIAC) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week.

For Lilleboe, the conference weekly recognition represents the second straight week this season in which he has been awarded such kudos.

Lilleboe carded a six-under par 138 score (67-71=138, -6) at last weekend's (Sept. 20-21) Great Lakes Region Invite in South Haven, Mich., in leading Ferris State to a second-place team finish with an even-par 576 team stroke total.  He finished just three strokes in back of Northern Kentucky's Danny Lewis for medalist honors.

The 2007-08 GLIAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Year, Lilleboe is presently has recorded a 73.59 career average (5,519 total strokes) in 75 rounds.

Lilleboe and the nationally 17th-ranked tying Bulldogs are back on the course this weekend (Sept. 26-27) to serve as hosts for the Ferris State Matt Pinter Invitational at FSU's Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich.
