Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball teams return to action with home games this week inside FSU's Jim Wink Arena.

Both Bulldog teams will play their first contests following an NCAA-mandated holiday break as they host Indianapolis in a non-league regional doubleheader on Friday (Dec. 30) afternoon.  The women's contest tips off at 1 p.m. (ET) with the men's game to follow at approximately 3 p.m. (ET).

The FSU women's squad will also play at home on Saturday (Dec. 31) with a New Year's Eve in-region contest versus St. Joseph's (Ind.) at 1 p.m. (ET).

FSU Athletics is offering a "Two for One Special" for Friday's doubleheader.  Fans can receive two tickets to two games and watch two Bulldog first-place teams all for the price of a single ticket as part of the "Buy One Ticket, Get One Free!" promotion.

The Bulldog women's squad currently owns sole possession of first place in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division standings while the FSU men's team is tied for first place in the division.

Ferris State home basketball tickets are sold on gameday starting one hour prior to tipoff at Wink Arena. Current FSU students are admitted free by showing a valid student ID card.  For more ticket info, please call the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888.

The Bulldog women's basketball squad has won its last four games to date and holds a 6-2 overall mark.  Ferris State's men's team is 7-4 overall and has presently claimed seven victories in their last eight contests.

On the opposite side, Indianapolis' women's team is presently 7-2 overall and has won its last five contests this year.  The Greyhounds are also a perfect 2-0 in Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) play and coming off a 50-43 road win over NCAA Division I Cincinnati in their most recent action (Dec. 19).

Meanwhile, the UIndy men's squad is also 7-2 overall this season and at 1-1 in the GLVC.  They swept two games in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic against Wilmington (Del.) and St. Mary's (Texas) in their last two outings on Dec. 16-17 in Las Vegas, Nev.

The St. Joseph's women's squad holds a 5-3 record and is 1-1 in GLVC action, but visits Wayne State on Thursday (Dec. 29) before facing the Bulldogs in the New Year's eve tilt.

All three games will be carried live by the Bulldog Sports Network with Rob Bentley calling the play-by-play coverage.  They will be available online at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com.  Additionally, both of Friday's games will also be broadcast locally on Sunny 97.3 FM.  A live pay-per-view video webcast and live internet statistics will also be offered.  The listing of available links can be found above.
