Big Rapids, Mich. - Fans will have their first opportunity to watch the 2011-12 Ferris State University men's basketball team at home as the Bulldogs host Grace Bible in exhibition play on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at FSU's Jim Wink Arena in Big Rapids.  Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. (ET).

Ferris State concluded the 2010-11 season by reaching the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen and the Midwest Regional Championship Game last March in Louisville, Ky.  The Bulldogs also captured the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Championship and hosted the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals and Finals a year ago while finishing with a 24-8 overall record.

On the opposite side, Grace Bible posted a 31-7 overall mark a season ago and captured the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship by winning its final 17 games of the season.

Head Coach Gary Bailey has guided the Grace Bible Tigers to the NCCAA II National Tournament Elite Eight in all six of his previous seasons. They were crowned National Champions in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. The 31 wins last year broke the school record for wins for the third time in three years.  Grace has been ranked the #1 team in the country at the NCCAA level since January of 2009.

Ferris State opened the exhibition portion of its schedule with an 85-58 loss at NCAA Division I Michigan State on Sunday (Oct. 30) at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.  The Bulldogs trailed by only eight points (49-41) with 16:55 to play before the Spartans seized control.  Senior forward Jerrell Sanders (Grand Rapids/Creston) and junior forward Daniel Sutherlin (Detroit/Renaissance) paced FSU with 14 points apiece before a crowd of 14,797 fans. Five Bulldog freshmen saw their first action in the game at the Breslin Center as FSU seeks to replace four key starters from last year's regional runner-up team.

Wednesday's game will not be broadcast on local radio, but will be carried live by the Bulldog Sports Network and available online at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com with both live audio and a live pay-per-view audio & video webcast. Sandy Gholston will call the action. Live stats will also be offered.

Ferris State home basketball tickets are sold on gameday at Wink Arena and are $7 for adults or $5 for FSU faculty/staff, senior (ages 65+) and students K-12.  Current FSU students are admitted free by showing a valid student ID card.  For more ticket info, please call the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888.

Wednesday's exhibition tilt is the second of three preseason matchups for the Bulldogs, who also visit Calvin next Tuesday (Nov. 8) for an exhibition game.  Ferris State will then travel to Crisler Arena to square off with the Michigan Wolverines in the first official regular-season contest on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. (ET) in Ann Arbor.  The following night, on Saturday, Nov. 12, the Bulldogs travel to nearby Mt. Pleasant to battle the Division I Central Michigan Chippewas inside McGuirk Arena at 7 p.m. (ET).
