"The Ferris State University Alumni Association is excited to help promote the 131 Showdown not only as a celebration of a storied rivalry, but also an exceptional effort of two campus communities and the City of Grand Rapids to further the awareness and resources of the Van Andel Research Institute," said FSU Director of Alumni Relations Jeremy Mishler.  "We are excited to welcome hundreds of our alumni and their families to both the game and our pregame reception.

"In addition, we are also looking forward to seeing the hundreds of youth students along with their families from many of the school and community groups throughout Grand Rapids at this great event," he added.
