FSU Basketball Hosts Upper Peninsula Schools

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball teams are back at home this week for two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheaders against Upper Peninsula foes at Jim Wink Arena.

The Bulldogs first host Michigan Tech in a conference twinbill on Thursday (Jan. 20) night with the men's game starting at 6 p.m. (ET) followed by the women's tilt at 8 p.m. (ET).  Then, on Saturday (Jan. 22), FSU hosts Northern Michigan in an afternoon double dip with a 1 p.m. (ET) start time scheduled for the men's contest and a 3 p.m. (ET) tipoff for the women's game.

Bulldog fans will have a special opportunity to win on Thursday evening during "Meijer Madness" at Wink Arena.  During the evening, over $300 of Meijer gift cards will be presented to fans.  Additionally, one lucky FSU student will walk away with a $100 gift card.

Meanwhile, Saturday's doubleheader will represent the third of FSU's Saturday "Kidz Dayz" events sponsored by Green's Sporting Goods at Wink Arena.  The fun, exciting and free activities for kids will include an arts and crafts table, bounce house, halftime events, face painting, photos with Brutus the Bulldog and more.  It is free to children in grades K-12 with a paid adult.

Tickets for both doubleheaders will be sold at the door.  FSU students are admitted free with their student identification cards. For additional information on home ticket sales, please contact the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at (231) 591-2888.

Both of this week's doubleheaders will be streamed live via an internet-only audio broadcast from Ustream and accessible on the FSU Athletics website at www.ferrisstatebulldogs.com. In addition to the FSU broadcast coverage, a live pay-per-view video webcast will also be offered thru America One in addition to live internet statistics.
