Ferris Basketball Visits Northwood This Saturday

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball teams hit the road this Saturday (Jan. 15) evening for a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) twinbill against the Northwood Timberwolves in Midland, Mich.

The men's game will tipoff at 4 p.m. (ET) inside NU's Bennett Sports Center with the women's contest following at approximately 6 p.m. (ET).

Both of Saturday's games will be carried live by Bulldog Radio, which can be found on Charter Channel 98 in Mecosta County or Channel 21 on the FSU campus.  They will also be streamed live via an internet-only audio broadcast this weekend from Ustream and accessible on the FSU Athletics website at www.ferrisstatebulldogs.com.

In addition to the FSU broadcast coverage, a live pay-per-view video webcast will also be offered thru America One in addition to live internet statistics. Fans can also follow twitter or facebook scoring updates.

The Bulldogs men's squad has won four of its last five contests overall to date and holds a 10-5 record along with a 6-2 mark in GLIAC play.  FSU defeated NU by a 76-65 score earlier this season (Dec. 11) in Big Rapids.   The Timberwolves are coming off a decisive 89-38 setback at Grand Valley State on Wednesday (Jan. 12) evening and presently hold a 5-10 overall record in addition to a 3-4 league showing.

Meanwhile, the FSU women's team is currently 6-8 overall and 2-6 in the conference entering Saturday's game.  The Bulldog women also beat Northwood by a 81-79 score back in December (12/11) at FSU's Jim Wink Arena.  The NU women's squad is 6-7 overall and 2-5 in the GLIAC to date following Wednesday's (Jan. 12) 63-48 league road win over GVSU in Allendale.
