FSU Basketball Hosts Upper Peninsula Foes

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men’s and
women's basketball teams are back at home hosting two of Michigan's
Upper Peninsuala schools in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (GLIAC) play this week.
The Bulldogs first open up a four-game homestand against Northern
Michigan on Thursday, Jan. 28, in a league doubleheader at Jim Wink
Arena. The women's game begins at 6 p.m. (EST) with the men's
game to follow at approximately 8 p.m. (EST).
FSU then will hosts Michigan Tech on Saturday, Jan. 30, in an
afternoon tilt with the women's game scheduled for a 1 p.m. (EST)
start and the men's game slated to tipoff at 3 p.m. (EST).
Both Ferris State women's games will be carried live locally via
Bulldog Radio, which can be found on Charter TV Channel 21 in
Mecosta County. Meanwhile, both men's contests will be aired live
on WBRN 1460 AM & 107.7 FM.
In addition to the FSU broadcast coverage, a live audio and video
pay-per-view webcast from B2 Networks will also be available for
both contests in addition to live internet statistics and twitter

Thursday's twin bill will include a slam dunk contest at halftime
of the men's game while Saturday's outing represents Kids Day along
with FSU's annual Student-Athlete Day. The Kids Day event will
include an inflatable bounce house, face painting and a color
contest for youth.
Tickets for both doubleheaders will be sold at the door starting
one hour prior to the opening game. FSU students are admitted free
with their student identification cards and encouraged to join the
"Dawg Pound" student section for all home games.
