Men's BB Starting Time At Lewis Changed
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State men's basketball team will
have to wait three additional hours to officially tip off the
2009-10 campaign as the starting time for FSU's season opener at
Lewis (Ill.) on Sunday (Nov. 15) has been pushed back to 6 p.m. CT
(7 p.m. ET) in Romeoville, Ill.
The contest, which was originally slated for a 3 p.m. start, was
changed due to the fact that the Flyers are also now hosting the
Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Volleyball Championship this
weekend inside Neil Carey Arena. The tournament's
championship match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. (CT) start the same
day.
The turnaround time will be quick for the Bulldogs following
Sunday's season opener as FSU is scheduled to visit Central
Michigan on Monday (Nov. 16) night for a regular-season contest
against the NCAA-I Chippewas in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
Ferris State recorded a 14-14 overall record during the 2008-09
season and placed third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (GLIAC) North Division with a 12-10 league mark.
FSU was chosen to finish second in the 2009-10 GLIAC North Division
Preseason Media Poll.
Prior to Sunday's season opener, the Bulldogs have one final
exhibition tilt as FSU heads to Grand Rapids to face longtime West
Michigan rival Calvin in a preseason matchup tonight (Nov. 10) with
tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. (ET) inside the Knights' new Van Noord
Arena.
