Students Asked To Join The "Dawg Pound"
Big Rapids, Mich. – In an effort to help the Ferris State
University men’s and women’s basketball teams establish
a powerful homecourt advantage, Bulldog students are currently
being encouraged to join the “Dawg Pound” student
section.
Membership to the "Dawg Pound" is free and students joining will
receive a free tshirt and reserved seating underneath the basket
opposite the FSU pep band for all home games in 2009-10. They will
also be entitled to receive a free hot dog and pop at all home
games when present at least from halftime of the women’s game
to halftime of the men’s contest.
Additionally, students who are part of the “Dawg
Pound” can receive an entry to a special end of the year
drawing by attending 11 of the 13 home doubleheaders at Wink Arena
this season. They will also earn team banquet tickets by attending
12 of 13 home games and a special free mystery prize by making it
to all 13 home outings.
The first home doubleheader of the season is Monday (Nov. 30)
night as the Bulldogs host archrival Grand Valley State in the
Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opener at
Wink Arena. The “Big Monday” doubleheader begins with
the women’s contest at 6 p.m. (ET) and the men’s game
tips off at 8 p.m. (EST).
FSU students are admitted free to all home basketball games by
showing their student identification cards.
Those interested in joining the “Dawg Pound” should
contact FSU student organizer Eric Cole and send their name and
tshirt size via email to: e.cole7@yahoo.com.
