Eric Ravellette starts his second season as a member of the Ferris State staff in 2009 and oversees the Bulldogs' offensive line along with being the recruiting coordiantor.
Ravellette most recently spent two seasons as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Southeast Missouri State University prior to his FSU arrival. Ravellette, a native of Vincennes, Ind., is a 2003 graduate of Western Kentucky University and was a starter in the 2002 Division I-AA national championship game.
In addition to on-the-field coaching, Ravellette coordinated all of the Redhawks in-state and out-of-state recruiting efforts at Southeast Missouri State.
Ravellette joined the Southeast program after spending a second stint as the tight ends coach at WKU. Prior to the 2006 season, Ravellette worked with Western's tight ends where in 2003, the Hilltoppers advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA I-AA playoffs. In 2004, Ravellette left WKU to become a graduate assistant at New Mexico State only to return to his alma mater in 2005.
As a player, Ravellette was a key member of the offensive line that helped WKU to the 2002 National Championship. He appeared in 11 contests his senior season and started in each of the final two playoff games. Through hard work and determination, Ravellette earned a scholarship after walking on his freshman year.
At Lincoln High School in Indiana, Ravellette earned All-Southwestern Indiana, All-Area and All-Big Eight honors. He led his team to sectional and regional titles in 1996 and another sectional title in 1997.
Coach Ravellette earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise
Science from Western Kentucky. He was married this past
summer to Jeannine Soncini, who serves as an assistant softball
coach at FSU.
