Big Rapids, Mich. - A pair of Ferris State University senior football standouts have been named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region First Team.

FSU defensive end Caleb Murphy (Dowagiac) and offensive lineman Adam Sieler (Pinckney) both claimed all-region first team laurels. In addition, Murphy was chosen as the D2CCA Super Region Three Defensive Player of the Year.

The D2CCA All-Super Region teams were nominated and voted on by the region's sports information directors. As first-team all-region picks, both Murphy and Sieler now advance to the national ballot for All-America consideration.

Murphy, the GLIAC Player of the Year, has put together a dominant season for one of the nation's best teams. The senior from Dowagiac leads the country with 24.5 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss and has recorded at least a half-sack in every game this year. The 2022 Harlon Hill finalist has seven multi-sack games and nine games with multiple tackles for loss. He recorded six sacks in last week's 17-14 playoff victory over Pittsburg State.

Meanwhile, Sieler was an All-GLIAC First Team pick this year and has helped pave the way for one of the nation's best offensive units throughout his collegiate career. He played a key role in 2021 as the Bulldogs claimed the NCAA D2 National Championship and has been the leader of a young offensive line this season for the Bulldogs.

Ferris State will square off against rival Grand Valley State in the national quarterfinals on Saturday (Dec. 3) at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale. Kickoff is set for 1:06 p.m. (ET).
