"Bulldog Beat" Football Show Airs Thursday's
Big Rapids, Mich. - A special internet talk show covering Ferris State University football will air each week this fall as the "Bulldog Beat" Football Show hits the web airwaves on Thursday nights throughout the season.
The talk show, which will be powered by a service called Blog Talk Radio, will be co-hosted by FSU Associate Athletics Communications Director/Football SID Rob Bentley and local journalist Sandy Gholston, who works in the school's University Advancement and Marketing Department and has covered Bulldog football locally for more than 14 years. The duo is also part of the Bulldog Football radio team during the season on local radio station WYBR.
The approximate 60 to 90-minute show will take
place Thursday evenings starting at 9 p.m. (ET) beginning this
week (Sept. 2) and can be heard live by visiting www.blogtalkradio.com/ferrisathletics.
The show will be archived for those not able to catch the live
version and made available both via the official Blog Talk Radio
show site along with the official FSU Athletics Website at www.ferrisstatebulldogs.com after completion of the show.
It can then also be downloaded via iTunes, RSS or an MP3 file.
Bentley and Gholston will discuss this week's season opener in the
special debut episode this Thursday (Sept. 2) evening at 9 p.m.
(ET). The initial show will be part of continuing game week
coverage on the FSU Athletics Website leading up to Ferris' first
contest on Friday evening at Hillsdale.
Much like any football radio show, each week's episode will
offer a preview of the upcoming opponent, a review of the previous
week's contest and an overall general discussion of Bulldog
Football. Special guests are also expected to be be part of
the show throughout the season, including members of the
Ferris staff and various players.
In addition to listening to the show, fans will also have an
opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback by utilizing FSU
Athletics' official facebook and twitter links found on the Blog
Talk Radio show page.
No sign-up for fans is necessary to listen to the show, however, by
registering for the free Blog Talk Radio service, fans can also
send direct messages and post comments to the show's hosts along
with participate via a chat service. Email and text message
reminders can also be set for those wanting a reminder prior to the
show's scheduled start time.
