Big Rapids, Mich. - For the third consecutive year, the Ferris State University Athletics Department will host a Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) State Football Playoff Semifinal.
Saturday's game will pit unbeatens Mount Pleasant (12-0) and East Grand Rapids (12-0) with kickoff set for 1 p.m. (ET) at FSU's Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Mich.
The winner of Saturday's game will advance on to the state championship game on Saturday, Nov. 27, at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. The other Division 3 semifinal, which will be held at Fenton High School, matches DeWitt (11-1) against Orchard Lake St. Mary's (10-2).
East Grand Rapids is the defending MHSAA Division 3 State Champion and beat Orchard Lake St. Mary's by a 24-21 count in last year's (11/28/09) state title game at Ford Field. DeWitt was also a state semifinalist in the division a year ago with Mt. Pleasant reaching the regional round.
Tickets will be available thru each participating school or at the stadium ticket office on Saturday. The gates will open and ticket sales will begin on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. (EST). All seats are $6 per person.
Parking will be $5 per car in lots adjacent to the stadium with lots opening on Saturday at 11 a.m. (ET).
