Big Rapids, Mich. - The 2010 Ferris State University football team held its final preseason scrimmage on Friday (Aug. 27) morning in conjunction with the program's annual Media/Fans Photo Day at FSU's Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids, Mich.

The Bulldogs scrimmaged for nearly two hours under sunny conditions before a nice crowd of fans and local media in a controlled situation on the stadium's Mondo Ecofill artificial surface.

While a few key players were limited during the scrimmage for various reasons, the Bulldogs were able to move the ball offensively at times and sustain drives.  The defense also had opportunities to create big plays as the top units battled each other for parts of the scrimmage.  Special teams work also took place throughout the morning.

The scrimmage wrapped up the Bulldogs' preseason camp.   The players will get tomorrow off before beginning their normal game week routinue on Sunday.

"It was a great morning and a good opportunity to wrap up camp," said FSU head coach Jeff Pierce.  "It's one week until showtime and we're excited.

"Overall, it was a good camp and our guys were very focused and business like throughout," he added.

Ferris' three-week training camp period featured nearly 20 practices and two scrimmages along with meetings, lifting, conditioning, testing and various orientation sessions.
