Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University football fans who
can't be in attendance can follow all the action of this Friday's
(April 23) Crimson and Gold Spring Game via a live blog on the FSU
Athletics Website.
The live play-by-play blog of the game will start prior to kickoff
at 5:45 p.m. (EDT) and can be found on the official FSU Athletics
Website at www.ferrisstatebulldogs.com. It
will offer a live running commentary of the action from Top Taggart
Field.
The blog, which is powered by a service called CoverItLive, will
be hosted by FSU Associate Athletics Communications
Director/Football SID Rob Bentley.
Besides the live blog, live scoring updates will also be provided
for the spring game via Ferris Athletics' official twitter site,
which is accessible by visiting www.twitter.com/ferrisathletics.
In addition to the live blog of the play-by-play action, Bulldog
fans also have the opportunity to ask questions, which will be
reviewed for content before they are posted by the site
administrator as time allows. Fans will also be able to
participate in live fan polls and no sign-up is necessary.
The blog will also be archived for later viewing following the
game, which is a unique feature of the CoverItLive service.
Email reminders can also be set for those wanting to be reminded of
the upcoming blog before it happens.
CoveritLive is currently being used by thousands of bloggers and
large media companies to engage millions of readers each month with
its innovative software. The service allows for live
coverage, live information and live interaction much like an
instant messaging service.
