Big Rapids, Mich. - The winner of this Saturday's (Oct. 24)
Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) football
game between Ferris State and Northwood will be predicted live from
Panama City Beach, Fla., on a popular morning talk show.
The Rocky and Randall Road Show, which airs live each Saturday
morning from 7 to 9 a.m. (CST) on Florida-based Beach 95.1 FM, has
chosen the FSU-Northwood game as one of its 10 selected national
contests this week.
As part of one of the most popular segments of the weekly morning
show, ten games from across the country are chosen each week and
the show hosts make predictions on the outcomes of those
contests. Seven of the selected outings come from the NCAA
Division I level with the other three games each week chosen from
lower levels of college football to serve as tiebreakers.
The FSU-Northwood game, which is set for a 12 p.m. (EDT) kickoff
at NU's Hantz Stadium in Midland, will be one of the show's
tiebreaker games this week.
Fans can listen live to the popular radio show online by clicking
on the "Listen Live" tab at www.beach951.com. Additionally,
fans are also invited to call-in to the show while it is live to
discuss the contest by dialing (850) 235-2951.
The hosts for The Rocky and Randall Road Show are Randall Akins
and his brother, Rocky. The New Beach 95.1 FM airs the Gulf
Coast's Greatest Hits and the station has regular listeners all
over the United States and Canada as well as around the world.
Saturday's league encounter can be heard live locally in the Big
Rapids area on WYBR 102.3 FM with Rob Bentley providing the
play-by-play action and Sandy Gholston offering color
commentary. It will also be available for online listening at
