Ferris To Host MHSAA State Semifinal Saturday
For the second consecutive year, the Ferris State University
Athletics Department will host the Michigan High School Athletic
Association (MHSAA) Division 7 State Football Playoff Semifinal
between Traverse City St. Francis (12-0) and Ravenna (10-2) on
Saturday, Nov. 21, at FSU's Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids,
Mich.
Kickoff for Saturday's state semifinal is set for 1 p.m. (EST) with
the winner advancing on to the state championship game on Saturday,
Nov. 28, at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. The other Division 7
semifinal, which will be held at Ortonville-Brandon High School,
pits two unbeaten teams as Hudson (12-0) takes on Ubly (12-0).
In last year's state semifinal meeting held at Top Taggart Field,
Traverse City St. Francis topped Ravenna by a 28-7 count before
beating Ubly 41-13 in the state championship game at Ford
Field.
The gates will open and ticket sales will begin on Saturday
starting at 11:30 a.m. (EST). All seats are $6 per person. Parking
will be $5 per car in lots adjacent to the stadium.
