Big Rapids, Mich. - Registrations are currently being accepted for the 27th annual Ferris State University Football Golf Outing, which will be held Saturday, June 5, at Meceola Golf Course near Big Rapids, Mich.

The four-person shotgun golf scramble, which is sponsored by the FSU Gridiron Club, serves as one of the Ferris State football program's primary fundraising events. The shotgun start will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis with all activities this year taking place at the Meceola Golf Course.

The cost for this year's event is $90 per player, which includes golf green fees, power cart, lunch during play, beer, soda and bottled water on the course, and a buffet style dinner. Women participants will be allowed to hit from the red tees. A great package of team and individual prizes will be awarded.

For the fourth consecutive year, the outing will also include The Players Cup. The Players Cup is a division for former Bulldog players and coaches only. Each four-member team must be comprised of former Ferris players and/or coaches only with the winner receiving the traveling trophy along with great prizes and bragging rights for a full year.

A corporate sponsorship, which includes a foursome of golf and a hole sponsorship, is available for $460.

The Holiday Inn in Big Rapids, which is a full-service hotel with a Bennigan's Restaurant on site, has also reserved a block of room for both Friday and Saturday (June 4-5) nights at a "Bulldog Package" rate of $75 per night (double occupancy). Reservations must be made by May 15 to guarantee the discounted rates.

Individuals are encouraged to submit their registration forms along with complete payment as soon as possible to guarantee participation in the football golf outing and aid in the planning. Checks may be made payable to Ferris State University Football.  The registration deadline to guarantee a spot with payment must be made by June 1.

11:30 a.m. –– Registration at Meceola Golf Course Clubhouse/
Lunch and Social Hour

12:45 p.m. –– Rules Meeting

1 p.m. –– Shotgun Start at Meceola Golf Course

6 p.m. –– Cocktail Hour at the Meceola Clubhouse (cash bar)

7 p.m. –– Dinner at the Meceola Clubhouse – Awards/Raffle/Auction
