Head Coach Jeff Pierce:

"We're still making progress and doing what we need to do.  We took a step forward in today's scrimmage from last week, but we still need to correct some things and become more consistent offensively.  There are some young guys competing at the skill positions and it's a matter of guys maturing and making the plays."

"Overall, we're excited coming out of camp.  It's time to play a new opponent and we're looking forward to game week."


Offensive Coordinator Matt McCarthy:

"As camp went on, we improved each day.  We still need to clean up some of the little mistakes.  We have great potential with all the new explosive players we have in the slot and can do a lot of great things this fall.  We really have to work hard this week and clean up some of those small mistakes."


Defensive Coordinator Duane Wilson:

"We're very happy with the way the defense has played with all the graduation losses.  We've created a bunch of turnovers so we feel good about that.  Nick Butler made a bunch of nice plays today, Chad Schoen looked good when he was in there and we've had some young guys really develop.  Overall, we're pleased.  We had some older players and it seemed like they had the right attitude coming into camp. They've been waiting three or four years to play and are ready to go.  Hopefully, we can make some big plays in crucial situations like today."


Senior Quarterback Kyle Parrish:

"We really came together well in camp and grew as a team.  We've got a good team and have had a good camp so we're excited for the season to begin."


Sophomore Quarterback Tom Schneider:

"We've worked hard in camp and are ready to go.  There's a lot of young guys who needed some reps and it's time to see what we can do.  In camp, we've been focused more on our team and what we need to do, but now going into game week we'll be studying Tiffin and gearing towards the opponent. 

"We don't pay a whole lot of attention to the rankings and such.  We're athletes and competitors and ultimately it will be up to us to get to where we want to be this season."
