FSU Cheerleading Takes Part In Service Events

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University Cheerleading team participated in several important community service initiatives during the 2009-10 academic year.

This past spring, the squad served as recess buddies for Big Rapids Middle School students during the spring semester where they helped guide and mentor local middle schoolers in Big Rapids.

Additionally, the team also participated in the FLITE Library's recent open house, which helped encourage people to read.

Finally, various cheer team members were also involved in the city's recent BIG Event, a city-wide cleanup inititative organized by members of the Ferris State student body.
