Six Games ... Three Days ... One Place!
Big Rapids, Mich. – Six Games, Three Days, One
Place! This week provides Ferris State University Athletics
fans with six opportunities to watch the Bulldogs compete.
Both the Bulldog men’s and women’s basketball teams
along with the nationally-ranked men’s ice hockey team will
be in action within the confines of the Ewigleben Sports Complex in
a three-day homestand this week.
The FSU men’s and women’s basketball teams open the
competition by hosting the Ashland Eagles in a Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader on
Thursday (Dec. 3) night inside Jim Wink Arena. The women’s
game tips off at 6 p.m. (ET) followed by the men’s contest at
8 p.m. (ET). Thursday’s contest represents Student-Athlete
Night as various FSU athletics teams will be in attendance helping
support the Bulldogs.
On Friday (Dec. 4), the nationally 17th-ranked Bulldog hockey team
opens its Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA)
series’ with 18th-ranked Nebraska-Omaha at the Ewigleben Ice
Arena. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. (ET) as the Bulldogs try to
remain unbeaten at home this campaign.
Finally, Saturday (Dec. 5) features a tripleheader with all three
teams in action on the same day. The women’s basketball squad
starts off an action-packed afternoon with a league game versus
Tiffin at 12 p.m. (ET) followed by FSU men’s hoops against
the Dragons at 2 p.m. (ET). The hockey team then wraps up the home
slate with a 5:05 p.m. (ET) faceoff versus the Mavericks in the
CCHA series’ finale.
This Friday's hockey game represents Meijer Family Night along with
church and local youth group night while Saturday’s contest
features Big Rapids Public Schools. The 2 for 22 and 3 for 33
ticket packages will be offered for both outings. FSU students are
encouraged to wear white for Friday’s game while contest
features a 70’s and 80’s night theme and fans are
encouraged to wear “Oldies” clothing. Following
Saturday’s game, selected Bulldog hockey student-athletes
will be available to sign autographs.
Tickets for all 2009-10 Bulldog home regular-season hockey games
can be purchased by contacting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office at
(231) 591-2888. The FSU Athletics Ticket Office's normal hours of
operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) weekdays. Single-game
tickets may also be purchased by contacting Star Tickets at

www.startickets.com. Tickets are also available at all Meijer store
locations in West Michigan and at the Student Services Office in
the FSU Rankin Student Center.
FSU Basketball tickets can be purchased at the door starting one
hour prior to the women’s tipoff at Wink Arena. The Manton
Youth Basketball Program will be in attendance for Saturday’s
basketball doubleheader with more than 80 kids on hand and Bulldog
players will sign autographs after the game.
